about

"14:40 stands out from the rest, obviously, with it being the only purely acoustic song. The guitar was written by our former lead-guitarist Frederik and me and him finished the song within several hours at his place. The name might sound like it has a deep meaning, but really it was just the time when I accidentally pressed a "time-stamp" key on the keyboard, which printed the "14:40" during the lyric writing process.

Lyrical Meaning:
The lyrics are part me and part Frederik. It's about wanting to leave society, explore new lands and finding a place to open yourself up. I really liked the idea of the "here" being a really down-and-out place."

lyrics

Lyrics:

So if this is like you said
Then i have nothing left,
No reason to stay at this rotten place,
Of which i once hoped
That it can be refined.
No regeneration, just the illusion

Of beauty found in dying flowers.
They brought me false hope,
They left me cold.
Scrambled thoughts occur
In my head
Caused by the unclear distances.

Lead me away from this place i called home,
There’s no reason for me to stay here anymore.
Guide me to unknown lands so i can
Try to unravel the threads.

Unravel the threads.
